School Sports NZ Inline Hockey National Cup


After a year of very few sporting fixtures and a postponement for the annual high school event the teams were able to meet and display their skills over the weekend on May 15-16 in New Plymouth.

Teams were welcomed from New Plymouth, Hamilton and Waihi with combined teams made up from various secondary schools not already competing. a total of six teams were involved.

Thanks to all referees, the New Plymouth Roller Sports Club Venue, Ravens Inline Hockey, Scorebench, spectators and team officials. A busy weekend, the participants played well and represented their schools with pride.

With support from IHNZ, McDonalds, NPDC, Wheelhouse and a huge welcome to Mike Summerell School Sports NZ CEO who made presentations to teams at the prizegiving ceremony.

And finally to the players, stand proud, you made the event possible, regardless of the outcomes overall, you played well, with sportsmanship, skill and spirit. for those of you at school next year we look forward to seeing you again.
