Public Skating Options

The club offer a skate night over two sessions on most Fridays and will re-commence “Skate Skills Sessions” sessions on Aug 8th.
The skating rink is locted at East End Reserve off Nobs Line in Strandon adjacent to the foreshore walkway and outdoor skatepark.

Information is posted on this website and also our Facebook “Skate Sport Taranaki” site, keep an eye out for informaiton and any changes.

If you are keen to register for “Skate Skills Sessions” there is a pre-registration process and also the opportunity to add to a waiting list if maximum limits are reached.  The link to register is here.

Public Skate Sessions have become very popular and  although the club have some loan skates for skaters to use it is recommended if you have your own to bring them along. If you do need loan skates - please bring socks.
There have been occasions when some sizes have not been available on a Friday. 

Session Times:
5pm - 6.30 (12yrs and under with family)
7pm - 9pm (teens and family groups)

Having a party?
We can accept birthday groups and offer a discounted entry cost for groups of 5 or more.
If “party groups” wish to bring in their own birthday food you can pre-book a room for your group. We can only accept one “room” booking per session. Room is best suited for up to 10-12 people.

The Club
The club opererate a community based skate programme, working around club member training and event activity. The club welcomes new members in any code they wish to participate in. Skating codes offered are inline hockey, roller derby, rink hockey and figure skating. you can contact us by email: skatesport.taranaki@gmail.com
