Oceania Joint Statement from IHNZ and IHLA

The following message has been received today regarding the Oceania Trans Tasman event.

Main points of message:

“This joint statement is issued  on behalf of Inline Hockey Australia and Inline Hockey New Zealand.

Direction received from World Skate, is that all World Skate sanctioned events must be postponed or cancelled as a result of the current pandemic level associated with CoVid-19.  

Additionally both the Australian and New Zealand Governments have introduced a 14 day self-isolation period for all international arrivals.

As a consequence, the Oceania Inline Hockey Championships scheduled to occur on 16 April  will not proceed.  Discussions will now continue at Federation level as to looking at the possibility of rescheduling later.

Both countries will be using their own processes to contact their players.”
