The New Plymouth Roller Sports Club have taken the following steps in the interests of public safety and social distancing to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Public safety is of paramount importance and our view is we need to show moral responsibility, take practical steps to ensure risk is reduced and the burden on medical and care facilities is not increased through inaction or complacency.

The club will close the following public activity as of tonight (March 17, 2020)

  1. Ravens School League will not continue for the remainder of Term 1
  2. Club Public Sessions and private birthday bookings are now cancelled.
  3. Saturday Skate Skills are now cancelled
  4. Thursday Afternoon Skate Skills for non-members are cancelled
  5. The rink will not be available for non-member bookings until further notice.
  6. Non-members will not be able to enter the premises.

In addition;

  1. NZ Secondary School Inline Championships will be re-scheduled to August 28-30 (date still to be confirmed)
  2. Queen’s Birthday Senior (June) Invitational is on hold until the current situation is reviewed early April or sooner.

These measures have been taken for your safety as a community provider of a facility allowing public access.
The club will be constantly reviewing guidelines from government agencies and amending requirements as necessary. These are extraordinary times; we must act now and play our part by taking preventative measures.
