Naki Skate Day March

New Plymouth turned on the weather for a Saturday morning open day offering a free skate, a coastal walkway skate, free sausage sizzle and take home information detailing the club activities.

Current members mingled with visitors interested in skating, mum, dad, kids and grandparents also joined in with the fun. 

New Zealand training camps were also underway on the main arena allowing visiting skaters the opportunity to watch. NZ Training continues on Sunday  and is open to public viewing until approx 1pm.              

The club offers inline and roller skating, covering the inline hockey, rink hockey, figure skating and roller derby codes. The 2019 season is getting underway so anyone interested is encouraged to come along and give skating a go.

Thanks go out to members of each club branch for providing volunteers to man the displays and information “stations”, for helping with the sausage sizzle and leading the walkway skate.

The club appreciates the assistance given by Rivet for loaning their BBQ and New Plymouth District Council for approving our walkway skate application.
