In preparation for the next skate competition, on Sunday 6th of November from 1:30 - 3:00pm the New Plymouth Figure Skating Branch will be hosting a skating showcase.  Come along to see your skate coaches in action!  They will be performing their free routines (dancing) and the club’s new Precision Team will be making their debut.  This is a great opportunity for any Kiwi Skaters that are interested in moving into the more serious side of artistic skating to see what it is all about.

Entry is $5 per person or $10 for a family, cash at the door.

Rink Hockey Sessions for Kiwi Skaters

The Taranaki Rink Hockey Club will be hosting introduction to roller hockey/roller hockey skills sessions, exclusively for Kiwi Skaters. 

There will be 4 roller hockey sessions held at the rink:

1) Wednesday 26th October (next Wednesday), directly after the Kiwi Skate lesson from 5:00pm until approximately 5:20pm.

2) Wednesday 9th November, directly after the Kiwi Skate lesson from 5:00pm until approximately 5:20pm.

3) Wednesday 30th November, directly after the final Kiwi Skate lesson from 5:00pm until approximately 5:20pm.

4) Wednesday 7th December (a bonus skating session for those that are keen) - time to be confirmed, but likely from 4.30pm.

This is a great opportunity for Kiwi Skaters that are keen to give roller hockey a go, or want to try a different skating discipline.  If there are siblings/friends/extended family of Kiwi Skater’s that would like to try rink hockey, they are welcome to come along.  There is no cost for the hockey session, all equipment will be provided, you only need your skates (hire skates are available free of charge).  Parents that ‘drop and go’ for Kiwi Skate are welcome to delay their pick-up time to 5.20pm if their skater would like to participate.
