The Rink is on a Mission

The New Plymouth Roller Sports Club is seeking support from Friday Night session participants in a bid to raise funds to replace the Quad and Inline skates  loaned to skaters for public sessions, school visits, community groups and learn to skate sessions. Early in 2020 we also participated in the Festival of Lights prividing an outdoor skate area at the park on request from the NPDC. This proved very popular.

Much of the club stock is very old and in much need of replacement. Repairs are becoming very difficult as the boot leather is breaking down and the chassis and wheels are difficult to source. 

The need to replace the skates has become a priority as the sessions offered have become more popular, showing a growth in interest from families as a community activity. The club have increased their entry fee to sessions to assist the fund raising efforts to replace all skates. Discount is available for groups of 5 or more.

The club would also accept donations from the community, can offer signage space within the building for potential major contributors. Contact us on skatesport.taranaki@gmail.com if you are interested in discussing further.
