Rolling into France

New Plymouth Ravens players are included in teams competing at the World Championships in Toulouse, France.

The World Championships start on June 30th, with competition in the Senior Women and Junior Men divisions. There are 16 teams in each with teams represented from all over the globe. The trek to Toulouse in the south of France took 30 hours and four plane changes as their route took them from New Plymouth via Auckland to Japan and on to Paris and finally Toulouse.

Players up first are Callum Hurley in  NZ Junior Men and Rachel Neville-Lamb in  NZ Senior Women's team. Zach Beardman a past member of the New Plymouth Ravens will coach the NZ Junior Men in the first section of the World Championships

The second section of the event, for Senior Men and Junior Women will see Sam Beardman, Julian Beardman and Daniel Reason take part. Joined by former members of the Ravens Inline Club,  Zach and Alex Novak,  they will play in the Senior Men's competition catering for a total of 24 national teams. Grant Novak (New Plymouth) will manage the Senior Men's team while in Toulouse.

NZ player recipients of the TSB Community Trust funding are very grateful for the assistance towards their costs.

Games are due to be streamed live, however it is not know which games will be covered.
