Inline Hockey School League

In 1997 the club initiated an inline hockey school league catering for school teams, encouraging players into a team sport with thrills and action, friendship and fun. The league ran for 22 years before the pandemic impacted on our ability to host.
The focus was to introduce the school players to the sport without the pressure of high end competition and those who wished to participate in club teams and follow a pathway to more formal competition could do so by joining the club.
Currently school league is on hold until 2023.

Entry Level

School League is an entry level programme designed to give the local schools a “taste” of inline hockey. Schools are contacted at the beginning of the 1st and 4th terms of the school year to enter teams for a 7 to 9 week programme of games on Thursday nights.  Club members provide scorers and referees for the games, however if parents are keen to become involved, their assistance is welcomed.

Equipment & Age Divisions

Full safety gear is required, however in the younger grades it is acceptable to wear bike helmets. Soft pucks are used for teams where players wear bike helmets and it is highly recommended that these players also wear mouthguards. Club owned goalie gear can be shared on league nights. Long sleeves and leg coverings are highly recommended.

Teams are grades by Primary, Intermediate and High School. Scheduling is released weekly to schools.

Skill Development Camps

From time to time Ravens offer development camps. These are advertised on Facebook or in the website News section.
